Sr. Mahmoud Abbas,

Nosotros, el pueblo palestino, los que vivimos en la Diáspora por todo el mundo, así como los que viven en la patria, exigimos su inmediata dimisión como presidente de la Autoridad Palestina, y también como Presidente de la Organización de Liberación de Palestina.

Nosotros, los hijos e hijas de Palestina, afirmamos que usted, Mahmoud Abbas, ni nos representa a los palestinos, ni tiene el derecho legal, político ni moral para hacerlo.

Exigimos que dimita sin demora, y si usted no dimite, exigimos que los órganos competentes del Consejo Legislativo Palestino, el Consejo Nacional Palestino, y el Comité Ejecutivo de Fatah ejerzan sus competencias en sus respectivas capacidades para apartarles del poder por la fuerza, a usted y a sus secuaces, antes de que se haga más daño a nuestros intereses nacionales palestinos.

Esta demanda se hace en función de una serie de violaciones cometidas por usted y sus socios que van en contra de nuestros intereses nacionales palestinos, y entre ellas están:

1. El vergonzoso aplazamiento del Informe Goldstone en la reunión del Consejo de DDHH de la ONU en Ginebra
2. Prestar apoyo al bloqueo de Gaza
3. Prestar apoyo a la guerra contra Gaza
4. El abuso sistemático de los derechos humanos por las fuerzas de seguridad palestinas
5. La supresión de la libertad de expresión, incluida la libertad de prensa, y la falta de respeto a los principios de la democracia ejercida por el pueblo palestino
6. El fracaso, 16 años después de Oslo, en lograr avances tangibles para el pueblo palestino,

Esta lista de agravios, sin duda no es completa, pero representa una abrumadora justificación para su salida inmediata del poder.

Mr. Mahmoud Abbas,

We, the Palestinian people, those who live around the world in the Diaspora as well as those who live in the homeland, demand your immediate resignation as president of the Palestinian Authority as well as Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

We, the sons and daughters of Palestine, assert that you, Mahmoud Abbas, neither represents us as Palestinians, nor do you have the legal, political, or moral right to do so.

We demand that you resign without delay, and if you should fail to resign, we demand that the relevant bodies within the Palestinian Legislative Council, the Palestinian National Council, and the Fatah Executive Committee exert their powers in their respective capacities to forcefully remove you and your henchmen from power before any more harm is done to our national interests as Palestinians.

This demand is made in light of a series of violations committed by your and your associates that run counter to our Palestinian national interests, and among these are:

1. The embarrassing deferment of the Goldstone Report at the UNHRC meeting in Geneva
2. Lending support to the blockade of Gaza
3. Lending support to the war on Gaza
4. The systematic abuse of human rights by Palestinian security forces
5. The suppression of free speech, including freedom of the press, and a failure to respect the principles of democracy as exercised by the Palestinian people
6. The failure, 16 years after Oslo, to achieve any tangible gains for the Palestinian people

This list of grievances is certainly not complete, but it represents an overwhelming justification for your immediate exit from power.
